Title:Design of High-Efficiency Wireless Power Receivers

Wireless power transfer (WPT) using near-field magnetic coupling that pioneered by Tesla has attracted extensive attention recently. It has a broad range of applications such as biomedical implants and battery chargers of portable electronic devices and electric vehicles. In this talk, current research and development of wireless power receivers will be presented. First, design challenges of active rectifiers and state-of-the-art solutions will be reviewed. An adaptive on/off delay compensation technique will be introduced. By adding two feedback paths to the active diodes, the on/off delays are accurately compensated for under all conditions by the proposed technique. Second, a new receiver topology that uses a 3-level reconfigurable resonant regulating (R3) rectifier will be discussed. The proposed receiver can greatly improve power conversion efficiency and reduce cost and volume of the system by realizing one-stage power conversion plus regulation.

程林博士2008年本科毕业于合肥工业大学,2011年硕士毕业于合乐HL8注册登录, 2016年获得香港科技大学博士学位。2016年至2018年在香港科技大学电子与计算机工程学系从事博士后研究。2018年9月加入中国科学技术大学合乐HL8注册登录。他的研究方向主要为电源管理集成电路,包括无线能量传输芯片, 直流-直流转换器、汽车电子芯片等。在国际会议和期刊上发表20多篇论文和专利,其中以第一作者在ISSCC和JSSC上共发表论文6篇。程林博士分别获得2015年IEEE固态电路协会颁发的博士成就奖和2018年香港科学会青年科学家提名奖。
